Born on August 25, 1921 in Houghton, Saskatchewan, the daughter of the late Stanley and Nellie Thurston. Wife of the late Cecil Freeman Bulmer. She leaves to cherish her memory; her daughters Marie (the late John Bell), and Bernice (Norman Barnes), and her sons; Earl (Judy), Lorne, Douglas (Sharon), Gordon (Marie), Graham, David (Diana). Predeceased by her daughter Debbie, and son Don. Ruby will be greatly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Sister of Lilian Wright, Irene McDonald, Ernest, Elmer, Ken, and Ross. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29th from 2:00p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay. Predeceased by his brother Rev. F. James (Jim) Burn. John devoted his life to his family, his business at the hardware and grocery stores, his role of the Postmaster for close to 50 years, enjoyed the outdoors or when performing his favorite tune with the Kawartha Male Chorus, lifelong member of the Janetville United Church and founding member of the Janetville Fire Department (City of Kawartha Lakes). John will be missed by all those in his and surrounding communities. Helen Hickson in her 88th year, was the beloved wife of the late Murray Shea. Dear daughter of the late Arnold and Anna Hickson. Devoted mother of Mary and her husband Mike Hughes of Janetville and Lorraine and her husband Trevor Nesbitt of Nestleton also one son Kenneth predeceased. Cherished grandmother of David, Melanie and Shaun and Sonal Hughes, Scott and Andrea Nesbitt, Lisa and Dave Kemp, Ryan and Allison Nesbitt. Helen was the proud Great grandmother to Shaila, Keeran Hughes, Luke and Cole Kemp, Anna, Paige and Brett Nesbitt. Dear sister of Ruth and her husband Jack Whitnell also sister in laws Marjorie Carron, Shirley Hickson,Lorne and Peggy Shea and Audrey Shea. Predeceased by sister Jean and her husband John McCabe, brother Doug Hickson, and sisters and brothers in laws Norman and Leona Shea , Earl and Marjorie Shea, Bert Shea, Madeline and Lloyd Hill, Wilson Carron. Helen will be fondly remembered by several nieces nephews and friends.
